Rev. Stacy E. Downing
Pastor Stacy, an ordained Elder in the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist church, was appointed to Pittsboro U.M.C. in the summer of 2024. She has faithfully served Indiana United Methodist Churches since 1998. Pastor Stacy has a passion for prayer, community, and the intersection of those for herself and the church. She believes that when we keep the love and grace of Jesus at the center, everything we do transforms the world. Pastor Stacy also serves the Indiana United Methodist Conference as the chairperson of the conference Children Matter Most Team. She has been married to her husband, John, since 2007 and they share two children. She enjoys fiber arts, nature walks, and reading.

Julie Mardis
Julie has been employed at PUMC since 1993; during this time she has had the privilege to minister with 6 kind-hearted and hard-working pastors from the Indiana Conference. Julie, her husband, and two children have been members of PUMC for many years. Her children attended preschool, mission trips, and many other volunteer activities. They were also very active in the PUMC youth group. Julie enjoy singing in the church choir, camping with the family, and loves gardening at home.

Joanna Nunley
Joanna Nunley is the music director at PUMC as well as a math teacher at Ben Davis High School. She has taught for twelve years and enjoys helping students discover their strengths and encouraging them to reach their full potential. She has been involved in music ministry at PUMC since 2008 and enjoys working with all those involved. She completed her undergraduate studies at University of Indianapolis and has masters degrees in music from Butler University and educational leadership from UIndy. Her biggest passion in life is playing the piano. She has played since she was five years old and couldn’t imagine life without it. She is grateful that she has many opportunities at PUMC to share this gift. Reach out to her if interested in participating in one of the many opportunities with music ministries at PUMC.
